From April 4th to April 12th, I took my family to Mallorca for a fixed based cycling-oriented vacation. Joining us was the crew from last summer’s bike trip—Arturo, Mark, Stephan and Otto Ellner, who were also joined by the rest of the family, Rosie and Benjamin. At the last-minute, Joe Chung, who went to college with me decided to come, though a few later than the others.
Bowen's bike suffered a broken derailleur cable and a flat tire that was worn out and replaced during the trip. Joe Chung's rental suffered from an unreproducible intermittent failure in the power delivery. Because it was a fixed based tour, everyone did varying amounts of riding, but I got in 296 miles and 24,300' of climbing in 6 days.
